· Eating healthier will lower your risk of type 2 diabetes. Overloading on sugar is very unhealthy and can put you at high risk. It is okay to treat yourself every once in a while, but cutting back on unhealthy foods or consuming smaller portions is key. You can snack on delicious vegetables or fruit instead of eating sweets of junk food.
